Here are some of the best know phone repair stores in Toronto, Canada. We’ve also included a repair store from Mississauga.

Fixt Wireless Repair

Phone: (416) 961-3498
499 Bloor Street W. (between Bathurst and Spadina)

A mobile phone repair shop, Fixt can be found on 499 Bloor Street West, in Toronto, Ontario. This store/repair shop is a part of a larger chain of mobile phone repair stores that has several locations across the GTA.

The store is wedged between two interesting shops on Bloor Street, in an older building, and the entrance is a little back, with a lovely red door and a large sign out front. There is some street-side parking for cars and bikes. The place is wheelchair accessible and has amiable staff.

From their online presence, I learned that they fix mobile phones and sometimes even computers. The extent of their repair goes from fixing broken screens, button malfunction, battery replacement, fixing audio issues, fixing liquid damage, charging issues, camera issues, defective components and software issues.

Thie website has an interesting motto: they repair all makes and models of phones and tablets. If you don’t see yours here, it is a strange device, but they can probably fix it.  The place is opened from Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM, on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and on Sunday from noon to 5 PM.

This repair shop has been reviewed online, on Yelp, Facebook and Google Reviews, and based on these; I bring you a list of pros and cons.

Pros:

  • Repair on all makes and models of phones
  • Friendly staff
  • Data safety guaranteed
  • Minimal downtime? fast service
  • Warranty on repairs

Cons:

  • Notes on higher prices
  • Notes on poor service on occasion

The Fixt Wireless Repair store opened its Bloor Street location in 2015. This store has an excellent interior, as they follow the corporate theme of bold purple, red, yellow and orange colours. They have a proper setting where they display their items and phone accessories.

They promise minimal downtime for repairs, provided they have the exact part your device needs. They also sell refurbished phones and tablets and offer these with a 12-month warranty. All their devices are unlocked, meaning you will not depend on using a specific carrier, and they offer unlocking services. For more info, you can call for a quote and make a decision based on that. To accommodate their customers while their actual phone is being repaired, they always loan smartphones to people whose repair is expected to take longer.

iRepair Danforth

1517 Danforth Ave., (just west of Coxwell Ave.)
Phone: (647) 499-0204

An electronics repair store, this shop is located at 1517 Danforth Avenue, in Toronto, Ontario. This store is a part of a larger chain with five locations, three in Toronto, one in Vancouver and one in Mississauga. The Danforth location is wedged in between other shops on this beautiful street.

There is street-side parking on Danforth Avenue, and space to leave your bike. The interior is simple, and the staff working here is accommodating and welcoming. The iRepair store only works on Apple devices.

The owner started this business in 2005 and five locations later, he only employs professional techs that know their business. The iRepair store offers loaner phones and laptops for extended repairs, which is always nice, as many people depend heavily on their devices.

From the reviews, I read online on Yelp, Google Reviews, and Facebook, I bring you a list of the pros and cons of this place.

Pros:

  • iPhone, iPod, iPad, Mac repairs
  • Knowledgeable staff
  • Good services provided
  • 30-minute service (where possible)
  • Free loaner devices for extended repairs

Cons:

  • Some notes on expensive repairs
  • Notes on faulty/unoriginal parts

The iRepair store on Danforth Avenue only works with Apple devices: iPhones, iPads, iPods, and Mac computers. This allows them to have very competitive prices and stock on many parts. This also enables them to have a fast service, especially when dealing with common repairs like battery change, and screen changes.

The people who work here are following the company’s policy for great service and are completely non-judgemental when a person comes in with a simple question with an obvious answer. And they also run simple diagnostics and provide advice on more common problems, like how to solve memory issues, or how to update software and the like.

IRepair has regular discounts on iPhone batteries, and some customers have stated that they even beat Apple?s prices and outmatch the warranty. Seeing as they only deal with Apple products, many faithful Apple users have found their services to be irreplaceable. The staff has earned their stellar reviews, and it seems like the iRepair store on Danforth Avenue will continue to serve the Apple users of Toronto.

They offer same-day service where possible, and for most phone repairs, it usually takes up to two hours.

The company cares about customer satisfaction, making this the primary goal of their work. They have been very successful, as the high number of satisfied customer reviews can testify. Another excellent thing is their 90-day warranty on parts and labour. To help out, they offer a low price guarantee, and there is a 10& off coupon available on their Yelp listing.

They have a small waiting area for people waiting to get their phones immediately fixed.

The official website clearly states all the repairs they perform, ranging from iPhone repair, smartphone repair, iPad repair, tablet repair, laptop repair, Mac repair, gaming console repair and iPod and MP3 player repairs. They provide all kinds of services and repairs for mobile phones, no matter the make and model.

Where possible, people get same-day service. You can get your old phone traded in for a different model, or get the battery replaced. They also remove the protection in smartphones put in by the large cellular service providers, so once you unlock your phone or get an unlocked one, you will not be forced to use particular services, and you can even use your phone if you travel abroad. All in all, a good place to get your cell phone repair needs satisfied.

Pros:

Cons:

  • Some people were charged high fees

The Toronto Repair store has been in business for a while now, and during that time, they have serviced a lot of people with phones needing fixing. A while back, they offered service and repairs on all makes and models of phones, but now they have slowly turned only to repairing Apple devices. The owner says that it is simpler and more efficient for them to offer this kind of service, as they can better serve their customers with parts and labour.

The technicians that work here are very qualified, and they even offer free estimates and advice on how to utilize your devices better. As many customers have noted, the team of Toronto Repair provides accurate information, and if the repair of the device will cost more than the device is worth, they will honestly tell their clients.

From their official website, however, outdated it is, I learned that they do not repair water damaged devices, but provide various other services like touch screen and glass replacement, digitizer replacement, LCD screen replacement, power button fix, battery replacement, charging port replacement, headphone jack, home button, volume button, microphone and speaker fix, proximity sensor replacement, back cover replacement and plenty more.

On their website, they also offer plenty of laptop and desktop computer repairs, Apple and Samsung tablet repairs as well as game console repairs. For more info and a free quote, you can contact them via their online contact form or give them a call.
